Meet the Artist

My name is Cynthia. I am a ceramic artist from Melbourne, Florida. My journey with clay began in 2008 in a high school ceramics class where I fell in love with working with my hands. I enjoyed being able to create art in a 3-dimensional capacity and it stuck with me through the years. After a long hiatus from pottery through college, I received my B.A. in Art History and found pottery again shortly after. In 2016 while living in Brooklyn I became a member of a local studio where I continued to hone my skills.

In 2018, I moved back to Florida and joined Seagrass Pottery, first as a member and then as a teacher. It was here that ignited my passion for teaching others. One of my greatest joys is being able to share the peace, joy and creative release that comes from working with clay.
